Rapid Intervention Team Drill 09-03-16

The Chili Fire Explorers took advantage of the cooler weather to go in to the maze building this weekend to practice Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) skills.  The explorers had to enter in to the building to find a firefighter in distress and figure out how to extricate the firefighter and bring them out safely.  Other concepts covered were the SCOTT RIT Pack, packaging non-ambulatory firefighters in full gear, tools useful for RIT, the MAYDAY call and LUNAR (Location, Unit, Name, Air and Assignment, and Resources needed) acronym.  Click on the photo below for more pictures from the drill or go to our photo gallery page.
