Large Area Search 12-10-16

On a gray, cold and snowy Saturday morning, the Chili FIre Explorers went into the pavilion behind Company #1 and drilled on Large Area Search concepts.  Explorers went inside in teams of three with their nomex hoods on backwards so they could not see and drilled on tying knots in the dark with fire gloves on, using search ropes, search techniques, and finally having to find parts of an SCBA airpack and assemble it in the dark before finding their way out.  Click on the photo below for more pictures from the events or go to our photo gallery page.
